I recently took on a unique role as the director of photography for the short film “The King's Fear.” It is a poignant reinterpretation of Shakespeare's “King Lear.” The film unfolds through the eyes of Louis, an aging theater director grappling with his fading dream of acting success during his final performance. As his beloved theater is failing in the changed era and nearing its closure, he struggles with the lack of understanding and support from two of his daughters, while his youngest daughter, Julia, sees a different perspective for the outlook of his dream. So, is it better to live with an unfulfilled dream or to die trying to escape the reality of its demise?

As a DP, my responsibilities spanned from look development and planning the shot list to lighting, shooting, and color grading both the trailer and the final film! It's been an awesome journey, learning more about lighting & cinematography through hands-on experience on actual film sets. Hope you guys like the work!!
